Seventh graders examine music examples to investigate a conflict in history about Hitler's invasions during WWII. In this music analysis lesson, 7th graders discuss vocabulary and the history for the Holocaust and Hitler's invasions. Students then watch a clip from The Sound of Music to explore the music interpretation of the historical events and read the story Passage to Freedom. Students complete a character perspective chart and Venn diagram for the topic.
