Fifth graders research and plan an imaginary vacation. In this travel planning lesson, 5th graders work in pairs to use an atlas, calendar, review airplane schedules, encyclopedias, magazines, and the Internet to research information about their vacation destination. Students research and plan three activities for their trip, outline their trip on a calendar, and provide a picture of their trip.
