Instructional Ideas
- Pull out landscapes from a particular period of history or that connect with a book the class is reading to help make the lesson more relevant
Classroom Considerations
- Download copies of paintings to display on a projection screen or interactive white board
- If you cannot visit the museum, gather a collection of art supplies, such as paints and pastels, to complete the in-museum activity in your own classroom
Pros

- Makes cross-curricular connections between art and language arts
Cons
- Certain components of lesson may be difficult to recreate without the museum visit
