Third graders read a combination of literary and informational texts to answer the questions: What are different types of treasure? Who hunts for treasure and how? Why do people search for treasure? Students also discuss their personal treasures. Students work to understand what people are willing to do to get treasure and how different types of treasure have been found, lost, cursed, and stolen over time.
