- Include in a reading assessment at the beginning of the year to determine reading level
- Have kids complete the activity in a homework packet or literacy center
- Encourage learners to share their predictions with a partner, comparing their answers based on the same text
- Replace the text in the passage with excerpts from what you are reading in class, and prompt kids to make predictions in the same way
Classroom Considerations
- Though the resource is designed for third and fourth graders, it could be helpful for older kids as well
- Dialogue in the passages are formatted into one paragraph, which might make it hard for some readers to understand
