Third graders measure items around the classroom using meter sticks. In this measurement lesson plan, 3rd graders are taught how to measure the length of an item with a meter stick. Inches, centimeters, millimeters, decimeters, and meters are emphasized. Then students will measure their own body parts and items around the classroom.
