The Julian Samora Research Institute was established in honor of Julian Samora, a leading Mexican-American sociologist. Its mandate is to promote academic research and to disseminate its findings to the public, the government, academia, and other relevant parties. Its intent is to provide guidance in the development of programs and services for Hispanic Americans in the Midwest and to empower Hispanic communities.
