Curated by ACT

No other mammal in the world looks like the star-nosed mole, which has 22 fingerlike appendages surrounding its nostrils. Learn more about the Condylura cristata, more commonly known as a Star-nosed Mole, in this easy-to-read species overview by the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History.
