Tennessee is home to the Obed Wild & Scenic River, located in the Cumberland Plateau. The area currently offers many recreational opportunities, but perusing the "History & Culture" and "Nature & Science" tabs will reveal a rich history going back to prehistoric times and a home to some notable wildlife.
