Weldon Kees (1914-1955?) was not only an important minor poet of the mid-20th century American literary scene, he was also a fiction writer, playwright, cultural critic and impresario, filmmaker and photographer, abstract expressionist painter, even a collaborator with anthropologist Gregory Bateson.
