Weldon Kees (1914-1955?) was not only an important minor poet of the mid-20th century American literary scene, he was also a fiction writer, playwright, cultural critic and impresario, filmmaker and photographer, abstract expressionist painter, even a collaborator with anthropologist Gregory Bateson. His car was found abandoned near the Golden Gate Bridge in July 1955 and he has not been seen since. This Kees site features text, photographs, and related links for research.
