[Free Registration/Login Required] An account of Guantanamo Bay Naval and Prison Base in Cuba. From its beginnings in 1903 when the USA leased land from Cuba to its virtual isolation once Castro and American broke relations, followed by its time as a military base, and finally the announced closure when President Obama was elected. To date, there are still prisoners on the base and it has yet to close. (January 4, 2011)
