As you introduce graphs to young scholars, use this coordinate pairs activity to give them some independent practice. Learners examine 12 points on a graph, all of which are in the first quadrant (and therefore positive). They write the coordinates for each below, and one has been done for them as an example. There are only whole numbers here. Challenge the class to create three more points of their own, writing them beneath the list of existing coordinates.
