In this project, students will design a sensory garden. The area to be designed is for a flower bed 3' wide, 5' long and 3' high. The design must be wheelchair-accessible from all sides. Students will research the different sensory plants and how they are accented in landscape design. This activity will begin with discussions on touch, smell, sound, taste, and sight and the role these play for those who have sensory processing issues.
