PBS's NewsHour Extra provides an Economic, Government, and History activity concerning the four economic indicators impact on a country. Includes two detailed activities. The first exercise covers the history of the U.S. economy from 1958-2008. Students will examine four historical charts in which they will determine when the country was in, exiting, or entering a recession. The second exercise students take an in-depth look into the current economic situation of the U.S. and track this over the course of a few months.
