Instructional Ideas
- Reserve some time in the computer lab to go over the online version and testing environment
- Set aside time to go through test-taking strategies and to discuss the results of the practice test
Classroom Considerations
- Some questions take on a different format in the online version; for example, pupils may have to drag and drop passages into a chart rather than choosing from a multiple choice list
- Depending on your printing capabilities, it may prove tricky to print the large-print version of the test
- When students take the online version, they will see a scoresheet for the easily-graded questions, which they can then share with you (these show point values, but not answers)
Pros
- Both the online and paper versions have answer keys, available in the materials for this resource
- Answer keys include standards to help you analyze your pupils' understanding of the Common Core
- A rubric for the essay portion is also provided
Cons
- None
