Photo Ethics: Diversity

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

With the advent of photo manipulation software, it is possible to digitally edit a photograph in a way that is virtually undetectable. The question asked of young journalists in this lesson is whether such manipulation is ethical. Groups examine a case study about whether or not to alter the cover shot for a brochure advertising the school to reflect the school's diversity. After responding to a series of worksheet questions, groups compare their responses.
