Lesson three of this unit focuses on multiculturalism in soccer.  Begin class by showing video clips of soccer in other countries. This lesson plan includes a link to Rwandan youth playing soccer in an open space.  Playing soccer in third world countries can be quite different than playing well organized soccer in Canada or in the US. These video clips can be used as a starting point to talk a little about which other countries have soccer teams that will be playing in the 2010 World Cup. As a closing activity, learners work in pairs to create a PowerPoint presentation on one of the countries that will be participating.
