After a videotaped training session, individuals with special needs practice purchasing skills. They view the video, discuss what the person in the video is doing, and then practice purchasing an item at a real store. The video session can be repeated as often as necessary and gestural, verbal, and physical prompts are encouraged, until the task is mastered.
