Choose a familiar topic to practice writing. A prompt is given asking learners to write two complete sentences that describe their families. Pointers are written at the bottom to help writers check that they started each sentence with a capital letter and ended with a punctuation mark. Use this as homework practice and have the child and parent sign the bottom of the sheet.
