This diagram labels the typical parts of a filtration experiment. Included in the equipment labeling are: buchner funnel, moistened filter paper, porous plate (plate with holes in it), rubber tubing, buchner flask and rubber bung. Explanations and descriptions include: Large enough particles of solid cannot fit through tiny holes in the filter paper so remain at this point, filtrate (liquid that passes through filter paper) collects here and suction from aspirator creates partial vacuum in flask.
