Science Kids: Science Images: Paralititan

Curated by ACT

This drawing shows the possible appearance of Paralititan, a dinosaur from the late Cretaceous Period (around 100 million years ago). Paralititan was a huge Titanosaur and its name means 'tidal giant'. There is little fossil evidence of this dinosaur but from the remains that do exist scientists estimate that it could have been 28 metres (85 feet) long and weighed 60 tons.
