The first set is to work on adding or subtracting a term to get the variable by itself. The second set is about dividing both sides to eliminate the coefficient attached to the variable. The third set of problems combines the first two steps. Then the fourth set looks at combining like terms before solving using the two-step method. Good scaffolding!
