Why do scientists use a nature journal? This activity is designed to introduce young scholars to learning the routine for using a nature journal and practice using their observation skills and descriptive writing skills in their journal writing. Students will be introduced to a prairie garden and be able to describe and illustrate types of plants and insects found.
