Students will investigate how light is a form of energy that travels as waves away from the source. The basis for this activity is taken from the Houghton Mifflin science curriculum. In the activity experiments, students will predict if light will be absorbed, pass through, or reflect off an object when the two meet. Students will observe how light behaves when it strikes different surfaces and record their findings. Students can compare and create a hypothesis as they test other objects in their surroundings.
