In this lesson plan, Summer Water & Sand Activity: All Soaked Up!, students experiment with sponges and water. Students analyze how sponges absorb water. Students learn a song to sing during the lesson plan to help them understand the water being squeezed out of the sponge. Students find out whether the size of the sponge determines the amount of water that is absorbed.
