Supreme Court Justices Research and Resumes

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

According to Article III, Section1 of the United States constitution, the only qualification one needs to be appointed to the Supreme Court is to demonstrate "good behavior." The president and Congress are given the power to determine the qualifications. To better understand what qualifications have earned justices their appointments, class members research two justices, one current and one historic justice. They then create resumes for these individuals and a video clip that reveals the justice's thinking or personality.
