Tampa Bay History Center

This museum has exhibits on the history of the Tampa Bay area. You can explore the offerings there but the exhibits are not online themselves. What is helpful though is the historical information in the Tampa Bay History Journal, which can be found in the Adults section - the issues can be downloaded and are close to 100 pages each in length, with articles about different events in Tampa's past. Also, the exhibition "Charting the Land of Flowers" has excellent teaching materials available for download. These include images of historic maps going back to the days of European exploration, with accompanying activities.
