Before they can even skip count by tens, your youngest mathematicians can write 2-digit numbers simply by counting the number of tens represented in a picture, then the number of ones shown, and transferring their answers to the proper place value column to write a complete number. By counting up to nine, in two place values, they can write whole numbers up to 99. A useful, 4-example worksheet for practice.
