The Harvard Project on the Soviet Social System Online is a collection of hundreds of interviews of Soviet Refugees in the years of the Cold War. The collection is comprehensive including aspects of all walks of life of these refugees from politics to social history. For studies including the USSR from 1917 through the 1940's this site is rich in first-hand accounts of the era. All notes have been translated into English, though some remain in Russian.
