The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery: The Earhart Project

Curated by ACT

The Earhart Project is an international group of scientists, historians, and other individuals who are investigating whether there is any truth behind the idea that Amelia Earhart and her flight navigator, Fred Noonan, might have been stranded on Gardner Island, now known as Nikumaroro in the Republic of Kiribati, when they disappeared in 1937 during their attempt to fly around the world. All of their and others' research and reports are documented on this site.
