Enchant your youngsters by reading them The Jellybeans and the Big Dance, by Laura Numeroff and Nate Evans. Ask them to name objects that begin with the letter J like jellybeans. Give each of them some jellybeans to sort by color. They are supposed to graph results on a worksheet, but you will need to create one since it is not provided in the lesson plan. Where several kindergarten Common Core standards are meant to be met throughout this activity, it appears to be student-written, and may therefore need more preparation than a professionally-written lesson plan.
