The Meadows Foundation was founded by Algur H. and Virginia Meadows "to assist the people and institutions of Texas improve the quality and circumstances of life for themselves and future generations." Of particular interest to educators is the grant's intent "to support projects which eliminate ignorance, provide cultural enrichment, protect the environment, enhance social skills and promote better human relations."
