Students explore the concept of the Pythagorean Theorem.  In this Pythagorean Theorem lesson, students discuss how the Pythagorean Theorem is used in their lives.  Students imagine building a lean-to that is 3 ft. high and 4 ft. wide; they must determine the length of branches they need for the roof.  Students practice finding missing lengths of triangles using the Pythagorean Theorem.
