Pupils listen to the story The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats in order to become interested in the world of snow. For this snow exploration lesson, students scoop up snow to make snowballs, measuring the amount of snow they use so each ball is of equal size. Pupils then test how long they last inside of the classroom under different conditions, just like the character Peter does in the story.
