Students gain a better understanding of the election process and their part in the election as well. They read literature from candidates, look at the election guide components, the electoral college, and how to vote. At the end of the lesson, they should be able to discuss the electoral college, compare and contrast candidates for election, explain the vital elements of the U.S. election system, and create an election guide for students and the community.
