ACT
This activity was created by the Trench Brothers project in England which uses drama, music, and art to share stories of World War I's ethnic minority soldiers with British schools. In this lesson, students are asked to research what First World War soldiers had to carry with them at all times and how they were contained and carried. They are then tasked with redesigning this survival kit using modern materials that are lighter in weight, cheaper, and easier to use.
