Students review safety rules for playing a P.E. game and a few students are selected as the taggers. On the signal, students avoid being tagged by the tagger using only the locomotor skill selected. They who want to avoid an imminent tag may pick up any available hula hoop (turtle shell) and hold it over their heads to signify that they have become a turtle.
