This is the course page for an introductory course on multimedia information systems. It looks at the history, theory, commercial and academic applications, the future of digital multimedia, and the production cycle, and shows students how to design and analyze multimedia information systems. The professor's PowerPoint lecture notes for each class can be downloaded, and there are lists of recommended readings. The 'projects' tab has assignment descriptions, along with a collection of video links that students are expected to use, and students' completed video projects and PowerPoint presentations.
