Teachers will engage students in a shared texts, The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush by Tomie dePaola and Mathematics from Many Cultures by Calvin Irons, James Burnett and Stanley Wong Hoo Foon. Then students will attempt to design illustrations that are similar to the books' illustrations.
