Since 2007 the United Nations, in conjunction with the African Union, have been providing humanitarian efforts to bring peace and justice to Darfur, Sudan. Darfur has been recognized as a victim of genocide conflict since 2003. Opportunities to teach of the conflict, help Darfurian refugees, and learn more about the region are provided by UNAMID.
