Rabindranath Tagore won the Nobel Prize winner for literature but is not often mentioned today. He was a well known poet during World War I and inspired many soldiers on the front lines. This article begins with a letter from a mother whose son had recited a quote from one of Tagore's poems before leaving to fight and being killed. It includes a review from The Times Literary Supplement and a number of his poems.
