Students learn about the history of the labor movement in Industrial America, including some of the major unions that emerged and the most well-known strikes. Next, they make connections to the role of unions today. They then work in groups to research one of the labor strikes by industrial workers and afterward interview someone to learn about their work situation. While links are provided, many do not work as this is an archived unit.
