This is a handy site from the University of Pittsburgh for making comparisons in the folklore of different cultures. It is organized by themes. For instance, you could scroll down to the theme "Man and Serpent," click on that and read and compare the Panchatantra's "The Gold-Giving Snake" with Aesop's "The Man and the Serpent." A nice find for comparison/contrast papers.
