This Use Digital Photos of Scary Things to Inspire Poetry Writing lesson plan also includes:
There's nothing like a provocative image to inspire a creative writing session. In the language arts lesson presented here, middle schoolers bring in digital photos of scary objects, such as a big spider, or a hornet's nest. The pictures are shared with everyone, and each pupil chooses a picture he/she will use to create a scary poem. The poems are word processed, and the photos are downloaded to accompany the poem. Of course, the finished products are displayed on the bulletin board for all to see. A very nice lesson incorporating photography.
