Students examine the importance of silent reading before practicing the technique of visualization. They listen while the teacher leads they through a visualization exercise in which they imagine they are at the beach. Next, they visualize as they read a chapter of 'Charlotte's Web' and draw a picture of what they saw. As an assessment, they write about what they visualized. Finally, they watch a movie version of 'Charlotte's Web' in order to compare it to their own visualization.
