Visions of Pigs

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Young scholars examine the importance of silent reading before practicing the technique of visualization. They listen while the teacher leads they through a visualization exercise in which they imagine they are at the beach. Next, they visualize as they read a chapter of 'Charlotte's Web' and draw a picture of what they saw. As an assessment, they write about what they visualized. Finally, they watch a movie version of 'Charlotte's Web' in order to compare it to their own visualization.
