Soldier's lives are often a topic when studying the Civil War, but what about the lives of civilians? Scholars use the characters from the novel Bull Run to better understand the lives of those not directly on the Civil War battlefields. They assume the voice of a character from the story to describe just how hard life could be during America's struggle to stay a Union. Thus, the Voices of the Battle of Bull Run are heard!
