This Greek Revival house was built in 1844 as the home of Cambridge businessman Oliver Hastings (1791-1879). Although nearby resident Charles Sanders Peirce considered it "ugly", the building is recognized for its elegant curved bays and elaborate wrought iron balcony railings.
