Designed to prepare seventh graders for the Georgia Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, this activity can be used for any type of standardized test, as well as reinforcement of reading comprehension skills. Eleven questions about two passages (one fiction, one nonfiction) challenge learners to find the author's purpose, complete analogies, and answer recall-level questions.
