Unit Plan

Write Now: Arguing for Change

Curated by ACT

Students are presented with a scenario of bullying and are asked to write an "argument for change" as a way to get classmates to stop bullying. In preparing their argumentative piece, students are guided to examine fiction and nonfiction resources, videos, web interactives, and artwork, and photography. They are also given a self-evaluating rubric and research questions to help guide their writing.
