In this lesson, students will listen to the book called The Grapes of Math by Greg Tang, but before reading, students will listen for the "different" way to solve the problem on each page. After reading, students will focus on one page and its accompanying answer blurb. Students will then brainstorm how many ways there are to solve the problem. Students will pay particular attention to the author's words and phrases relative to problem-solving and then will work in pairs to choose one topic and develop their own ideas to incorporate them into word problems.
